- Hello my name is Romero, I will be your technician for you today. Customers concern is battery charging issue. Conducted road test on vehicle, no issues which I really have time of road test. Was able to duplicate customer concern. Perform battery and charging system diagnostics. Battery measured at 12.8 volts with engine off, indicating adequate state of charge. Perform battery low test, battery voltage dropped to approximately 9.0 v under load, indicating reduced battery load capacity. Started engine and monitored charging voltage with multiple electrical loads applied charging voltage remained at approximately 14.2 volts, indicating that alternator is currently producing adequate charging voltage under load. Based on testing performed, charging system is operating normally at this time, however battery load test performance indicates the battery has reduced capacity. Recommend replace battery as a prerequisite for further diagnostic testing and recheck charging system operation after installation
- INCLUDES INSPECTING OF GENERAL OPS & MAINTENANCE ITEMS, TIRES/ALIGNMENT CHECK, BRAKES, SUSPENSION, EXHAUST, TRANSFER CASE, DIFFERENTIAL, AND DRIVEABLITY
- TECHNICIAN PERFORMED OIL AND FILTER CHANGE REPLACED OIL DRAIN PLUG WITH NEW.
- RESET OIL LIFE MONITOR SYSTEM (IF EQUIPPED)
- TORQUE SUBFRAME BOLTS
- SET TIRE AIR PRESSURE TO FACTORY SPEC
- TOP OFF ALL FLUIDS
- REMOVE AND REPLACE BATTERY
