    • Hello my name is Romero, I will be your technician for today. Customer States vehicle has a check engine light illuminated and engine noise present from engine compartment. Verified concern. Check engine light on arrival. Audible engine knock present originating from internal engine area. Performed oil level and condition inspection. Oil level 4 and condition good, no contamination noted at this time. Noise confirmed to be internal engine mechanical in nature. No abnormal accessory or exhaust-related noise detected. Perform RPM response test, knocking noise increases proportionally with engine rpm, consistent with internal engine mechanical failure. Performed oil cap removal test no excessive crankcase blow by or abnormal position observed at this time. Perform scan tool health report. Found pending misfire cylinder 6 and permanent misfire cylinder 6 stored and ecm. Based on findings, concern is consistent with internal engine mechanical failure with associated misfire on cylinder 6. Recommend replace engine due to internal mechanical knock and confirm cylinder 6 misfire
